“All barrel fermented and aged for nine months in one-third new oak, Greater Fool's 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Frediani Vineyard is all Musqué clone. Notes of passion fruit and guava are joined by hints of pencil shavings on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate boasts a slightly creamy texture, then turns bright and refreshing on the citrus-and-g finish. It's a fine effort from a little-known relative newcomer to Napa Valley.” -

Paddington Down '21 Napa & Sonoma
53% Cabernet Sauvignon
41% Merlot
6%% Petit Verdot
Our third release of Paddington Down, and most exciting to date, takes us back to our cofermenting roots. We have long favored this early-marriage of varietals over the typical, albeit very romantic blending table scenes commonly shared. A tale of two cofermentations actually, starting in mid-September with Cabernet, Merlot, and Petit Verdot from Sonoma’s Bedrock Vineyard and eventually blended with a cofermentation of our Deer Park Cab Sauv and a new Coombsville Cabernet vineyard leased that year.
Aged in 70% new French Oak for 20 months.
Purple hues coat the glass opening with black cherry, black currant, and roasted coee bean aromas. Raspberry, black cherry, new leather, and crushed gravel bomb the palate. A youthful attack of Cabernet Sauvignon is wrapped in velvety Merlot texture extending the long Petit Verdot stained finish.

Drink or hold." ~92 Points Jim Gordon - Executive Editor JamesSuckling.com
Paddington Down '20 Napa Valley
89% Cabernet Sauvignon

The second release of our evolving red blend, Paddington Down, is an almost old-world, Cabernet-based wine from the challenging 2020 vintage in Napa Valley. Aged in 50% new French Oak for 17 months.
Red and black fruits, rose petals and mint aromas slowly unfold. Bright and lively on the palate with currants, brambleberry, bitter coca and citrus notes. Soft tannins, great acidity and a touch of whole-cluster Merlot for freshness round out this elegantly balanced red wine.
