Based on 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Charbono, and 5% Merlot and aged 18 months in 65% new French oak, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon shows beautiful cassis, graphite, chalky minerality, and hints of tobacco and violets. It's medium to full-bodied, dense, and concentrated, with ripe tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and outstanding length. Coming mostly from St. Helena fruit, it's a beautiful wine as well as a smoking value in Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink 2025-2035.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon leaps with notes of black currant jelly and ripe black cherries, plus suggestions of wild sage, mossy tree bark, and wet slate. Full-bodied, the palate has a solid backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the taut, muscular fruit, finishing long and earthy.
